I'm Lena-Luisa, a 26-year-old singer and songwriter originally from Austria, currently based in Greece. I have been an EDM vocalist for many years and my personal experiences with selling toplines as a vocalist left me feeling disappointed with existing marketplaces: late or no payouts, a lack of artist support and unreliable platforms. These challenges inspired me to create something better. And so, the idea of yoursoundmate was born. This blog post takes you through my personal journey of how yoursoundmate came to life, our mission to support independent artists, and our vision to change the music industry for the better.

From Vocalist to Entrepreneur:

As an independent artist, I started my musical journey as a vocalist, working on collaborations and looking for opportunities on existing platforms. I took every opportunity I got to get myself out there and noticed that independent artist face a lot of obstacles while trying to make a name for themselves in the industry. Financing promotion, music videos, low royalty splits, etc., I thought it would be a great idea to sell some of my toplines and be available for hire for custom projects. While doing that for over a year, I noticed a lot of issues and lack of support for artists who are trying to earn money doing what they love - making music. I realized that something needed to change. And so, the idea for yoursoundmate began to grow in my mind.

The Birth of yoursoundmate:

Motivated by my own experiences and with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by independent artists, I started to create a platform that would truly address their needs. Yoursoundmate became my answer - a marketplace built on the foundation of reliability, support, and putting artists first.
